It's beginning to look a lot like...

I can't believe that we are now officially into December, and that we have birthdays and Christmas just around the corner. We have had a busy few weeks as usual, and have been able to do some really fun things that our family will remember for a long time.

A few weeks ago, the Morgans and the Keslers, along with my brother's family, decided to travel to the North Pole with us that started in Williams, AZ. We took the kids to ride the Polar Express, which was something that I thought would be a fun thing...but the kids thought it was just as magical as Disneyland. They were absolutely THRILLED with the matching jammies that (blessed) Marci and Michelle whipped out for all the kids a few days before, they could not wait to see the POLAR EXPRESS train - and check it out for themselves, and they really could not wait to see Santa on the train, and to receive the first gift of Christmas, just like on the movie. We even got to meet Mrs. Clause, and they were able to play with little trains too after rideing the big one. It was magical for them, from start to finish, and I'm glad we did it. (Now if I could just get them to understand that going on the train WAS their birthday parties this year...we would be in even better shape!)

We also had another taste of Christmas when we went down to Town Square one night, where Santa came in on a carriage, and they had a program for Christmas...followed by lighting the big Christmas tree and SNOW falling! And it didn't just fall for a minute...we were inhaling the stuff for awhile. The kids decided real snow was a lot cooler, even if it would have been A LOT colder!

I can't believe that it's now into December, and we are still able to wear short sleeves and shorts if we want...when are we going to start feeling like winter around here?! This 70 degree weather is great, but com'mon! I thought we might have some hope of winter a few weeks ago when it was actually really chilly, but we are back into warm again. It's crazy!
We also went for family home evening last week to the chocolate factory over in Henderson and looked at all the lights over there, and once again...it did not disappoint. Walking through the "gardens" of cactus and trees with lights all over them is fun, and the kids loved to pose in front of every "cool" light. We are definitely excited for the Christmas season to be here!

My family went down to ride the Polar Express in Arizona last Christmas. It really was a fun experience. I definitely want to take Vance down there when he is a little older. We love going to Ethel M. and Town Square too!!! It doesn't seem to matter how many Christmas dislays you see - everyone is great!!!
